1. Purpose of the Service

VocabuLit is a web application designed to help users learn vocabulary, primarily from books read on electronic readers. The user imports a database of words and sentences, and the system supports review and tracks progress.

2. Definitions

“Service” – the website and web application available at vocabulit.com. “User” – a person who has created an account or uses the Service. “Materials” – words, sentences, translations, and learning results added by the User.

3. Registration and Account

• Only an email address is required for registration.
• An account can be created by:
  1. providing an email and password, or
  2. using Google Login (2 clicks).
• Password reset is only possible using the email provided during registration.
• If no login occurs for 6 months, the account and all data will be irreversibly deleted.

4. Terms of Use

The User agrees to use the Service legally, without causing damage or disrupting the server's operation.

5. Advertising and Payments

The application is currently free and ad-free. We reserve the right to introduce ads or paid features in the future. Users will be notified 30 days in advance of any changes.

6. Suspension or Termination of Service

We reserve the right to shut down the Service. In such a case, Users will be notified at least 30 days in advance and given the opportunity to download their data.

7. Intellectual Property

The source code, logo, and visual design are protected by copyright. Materials added by the User remain their property; however, the User grants a non-exclusive license for processing them within the Service.

8. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages resulting from the use or inability to use the Service.

9. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms. Significant changes will be announced 14 days in advance via email or a message upon login. Continued use of the Service implies acceptance of the new terms.
